How to get there

The plane: the fastest and the simplest way!

Numerous airline companies allow to connect Morocco and France. Here are some examples:

The national companies, such as Air France and royal Air Morocco propose several daily flights from all the big cities of France: flexible hours and multiple destinations (Marrakesh, Casablanca, Agadir). Unfortunately the prices in high season remain often expensive.
The companies "low cost" such as Transavia, Easy Jet, Jet 4 You, Ryan Air, Atlas Blue offer very attractive prices if we reserve for a long time in advance and on condition to accept certain constraints: limited weight of luggage, not always easy schedules (very early in the morning or late in the evening), no meal served on board …

* Example for the inhabitants of Lorraine: in 2009, flight Ryan Air from Hahn in Germany every Tuesday, on Thursdays and Saturdays. Takeoff at 6:30 am, arrived at Marrakesh at 9:15 am, possibility of taking a shuttle in Metz which takes you directly to the airport, passing by Thionville and Luxembourg: company of buses Flibco: 10 Euro the journey if reserved for a long time in advance
*The company Transavia (= low-cost carrier of Air France) several flights a day from Paris-Orly.
* Easy Jet from Bale-Mulhouse, Paris Roissy ….

…..

For Ouarzazate. Few companies, allow to go there directly and it is variable according to the seasons. Example: Royal Air Morocco, as well as Iberia ( Spanish national company) assures daily flights, express or with stopover Casablanca.

ON PLACE:

The train connects big cities, in particular Casa-Marrakesh: several trains a day. Cheap prices!

The local buses: several companies connect big cities. Really cheap, but the journeys are long because buses stop very often.

The big taxis to connect big cities or make long distances. Example: Marrakesh-Essaouira in 3 hours. These taxis take 6 persons. The driver leaves only when 6 places are occupied, if not you must pay for the remaining places. Fixed price by route.

Carriages: in Marrakesh, they allow to move and to do tourist visits. Prices to be negotiated

The small taxis make only the small routes inside cities. They are equipped with a counter. They accept 3 persons at most.

Rent of car: numerous rental agencies, among some which are international. It is rather easy to rent a car in Morocco and to circulate because the road signs are in French and the traffic rules are similar to those in France.

To travel by car, we can take the highway from Tangier to Marrakesh, passing by Casablanca. The motorway network quickly evolving, a highway will soon allow to connect Marrakesh to Agadir before 2010.

For transfers between Marrakesh and the departures of hikes, Hassan organizes the journeys in minibus or 4X4, from the hotel. The minibuses.are comfortable but not air-conditioned. The driver adapts himself at the request of the traveler and of the guide: stops for pictures and wee-wee.!!!!!
