The Moroccan South
Gleaming palm trees
In the South of the Atlas, close to Ouarzazate, you will discover the Dades valley also called the Roses valley. Here, the Berbers build their villages and kasbahs in pisé, traditional architecture. Oueds coming down from the Atlas allow the maintenance of magnificent gardens in the purest agricultural tradition of mountain.
In a universe of small collections supported by dry high mountains and tinged with ochre, quantities of roses grow to the wild state along ways, roads and fields. Every year, at the end of the spring, the city of Kalâa M' Gouna is in jubilation, it is the traditional roses festival.
« The valley of Dades serves as case decorated with flowers in strengthened villages and in rock colored kasbahs »
