ROSES VALLEY

Every year in May, in the Dades valley, the Berber tribe of Mgoun celebrates the roses festival! Originally it is an opportunity to meet before the departure for the transhumance. The picking of roses is a feminine activity which asks for a lot of sweetness in search of the rose in the middle of thorns!! Several folk groups come from the whole country to share the festival with the inhabitants of the valley. The rose is used to produce flavors, rose water and cosmetics. A remarkable mixture of colors, flavors and music.

Our proposition of journey includes at once the adventure: walk through gardens and streams, and the discovery of a tribe and its ancestral traditions.

This trip is at once a sports and cultural journey. Day after day we are going to take the oued Mgoun and its gardens decorated with rosebushes together with our team of muleteers. The meeting with the local Berber population and its villages in pisé. We are going to discover the Dades valley and its ochre and red reliefs with their austere beauty at the end of our journey.
